Get Involved as an Ongoing Volunteer
Volunteers influence all aspects of Special Olympics Connecticut.
Volunteers who take on ongoing roles help mold and influence the Special Olympics community.
Roles range from long-term coaching and chaperoning positions, to volunteers who help run sporting and fundraising events. There is a place for everyone to be an ongoing volunteer and help at all types of events.
Supporting a Local Program
Volunteers are needed for various positions on the local level. The typical time commitment is 1 to 2 hours per week for 8 to 10 weeks leading up to all state level events.
A Local Program may need volunteers who are chaperones, hometown escorts, management team members and assistant coaches. To learn more about each Local Program, the sports they offer, and what they are seeking, click HERE.
