LETR Basketball Tournament

Members of the Connecticut Law Enforcement community will hit the court on Saturday, July 29th at Fitch High School for the 10th Annual Connecticut Law Enforcement Basketball Tournament to support Special Olympics Connecticut. The double elimination tournament will begin at 8:30 am with the championship game scheduled for 5:30 pm. Festivities will include foul shot contest, face painting, music, caricatures, concessions and chances to win great prizes. The Tournament is organized by volunteers from York Correctional Institute from Niantic. Fitch High School is located at 101 Groton Long Point Rd, in Groton, and admission to the Tournament is $2.00 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Teams from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island law enforcement agencies will compete in the event. This year, teams representing the Bridgeport Correctional Center, Hartford Police Department, Hampden County Sherriff’s Department, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, New Haven Correctional Center, York Correctional Institution, Pfizer Community, and the Connecticut Marshals departments will participate.
The Tournament Committee is seeking sponsors to offset the costs of the event and prize donations.
